Abbey Crouse, DC, CCSP

Dr. Abbey Crouse graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to attending chiropractic college, she earned her Bachelors of Science in Biological Engineering from The Ohio State University, focusing her studies and research in the fields of biodynamics, ergonomics, and biomechanics. From a young age, Dr. Abbey has been passionate about natural, holistic healthcare and felt called to become a chiropractor.

Dr. Abbey provides chiropractic care to patients of all ages and needs. Her passion is to care for women, especially during the motherhood transition, their babies, and families. Dr. Abbey has extensive training in women’s health and pediatric care; she certified in the Webster Technique by the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is a certified BirthFit Professional.

Dr. Abbey is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP®) specializing in concussion and is on the Ohio Concussion Registry. Additional training programs and specialty techniques she has completed include advanced nutrition, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stimulation (DNS), functional rehabilitation therapy (FMS/SFMA), and RockTape/kinesiology taping, and Titleist Performance Institute (TPI) healthcare professional training.

To meet the needs of each patient and provide exceptional chiropractic care, Dr. Abbey utilizes a variety of techniques and instruments. Techniques she uses includes Diversified, Impulse iQ® instrument adjusting, Thompson drop techniques, Applied Kinesiology, cranial therapy, extremity adjusting and mobilization, soft tissue techniques (including active release techniques, trigger point therapy, Graston/instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)), Flexion-distraction, Cranial therapy, Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT), and Toggle/Upper Cervical techniques.

Dr. Abbey loves to learn and is frequently researching, studying, and attending seminars/courses to gain more knowledge and experience to help her patients and their families. Outside of the office, Dr. Abbey is involved in several professional organizations and holds leadership positions in national, state, and local chiropractic organizations, and loves to participate in volunteer groups and her church.

As a former high school athlete, and current golfer, dancer, and yoga enthusiast, Dr. Abbey loves to be active, especially outside, and encourages healthy, active lifestyles. She appreciates how an optimally functioning body benefits function and performance in everyday life.

Dr. Abbey is the proud mom of a sweet, active little boy and a sassy silver tabby cat. She and her husband are avid Cleveland and Ohio State sports fans. They love all things Cleveland and are excited to be part of the Cleveland community again!

Alexandria Pete, DC, MS

Associate chiropractor

Dr. Alexandria Pete attended National University of Health Sciences where she received her Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters of Acupuncture degrees. Before going to National, she earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition Sciences from Ohio University. She is passionate about using her knowledge of chiropractic and acupuncture to help people with various musculoskeletal conditions. Dr. Alexandria enjoys spending time with her friends and family, being in nature, and cooking things up in the kitchen.

JESSICA VALLEJO, LMT, CCM, CST

LICENSED MASSAGE THERAPIST, doula

Jessica Vallejo has been a Licensed Massage Therapist and Massage Instructor since 2011. She is fluent in the modalities of Hot Stone Massage, Reflexology, Prenatal Massage, BioDynamic Massage Cupping, Chinese Cupping, Abdominal Massage, and Craniosacral Therapy, She also offers infant massage and is a birth and postpartum doula. Recent courses Jessy has taken include A Cerrar as Caderas- Womb Closing, Reclaiming the Cuarentena, Thai Massage / Yoga Massage, Decolonizing the Rebozo, and Decolonizing your Moon Time. Jessica has a passion for healing with touch, the ancient art of massage, wellness and inspiring others to seek their best self.

She is originally from Toledo, Ohio and has attended the Ohio State University, where she studied Ethnic Studies and Spanish. She is a graduate of the Cleveland Institute of Medical Massage, and studied with the International Cupping Therapy Association as well as the Upledger Institute for Craniosacral Therapy. She loves to read historical fiction in her free time and spends most of her time home schooling her 6 children.


 
 

Chrissy Frey, PT

Physical Therapist and health coach

Chrissy is passionate about helping women achieve their health and wellness goals from preconception and beyond.   She believes that you are uniquely able to collaborate in your own healing process and that she is there to help facilitate recovery.  With this mindset, she partners with you to set meaningful goals to allow you to return to YOUR optimal level of function.   Currently she works with women to provide exercises, coaching and specialized pelvic health physical therapy to help women achieve an active lifestyle who are experiencing pain or limited activity due to symptoms of pelvic floor dysfunction such as urinary incontinence, uterine prolapse or pelvic pain.  She also has a special interest in helping women who are trying to achieve a vaginal birth after caesarean (VBAC). Through her own journey through the traditional healthcare system during pregnancy and birth, Chrissy has learned that there is a better way to support women during this transformational time in their lives. Drawing on her background in physical therapy, myofascial release, and personal experience, she focuses on helping women live full, active pain free lives by improving their movement patterns, managing chronic conditions, and focusing on emotional and mental influences on health as well as physical ones. With over 20+ years of experience, treating clients from the smallest babies to octogenarians and beyond, she has drawn on these extensive experiences to provide personalized care to help you meet your goals

Chrissy received her Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from Ithaca College and has continued her education with specialized coursework in John Barnes Myofascial Release Therapy, Pelvic floor therapy through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Health Institute and is pursuing her women’s health coach certification through the Integrative Women’s Health Institute. When not learning about the human body, Chrissy enjoys being active outdoors.Chrissy, her husband and their 3 children enjoy most outdoor activities and organized sports.Depending on the season, you will find her and her family either sledding or skiing, on a baseball field or enjoying time in the Metroparks hiking, paddle boarding or fishing.She also enjoys traveling and learning about other cultures.


 
 

 
 

Aubrey Phelps, RDN, CLC

registered nutritionist, lactation counselor

Aubrey is a registered functional nutritionist, perinatal fitness coach, lactation counselor, kangaroula, and advocate for women as they make the journey into motherhood. Specializing in perinatal and pediatric nutrition, Aubrey supports women in improving their health, cycles, and fertility so they can have a healthy pregnancy and reduce the risk of complications and preterm delivery. She works with women so they can thrive postpartum as they transition into motherhood and mothers who want to get their little one off to the right start with nutrition and health or those struggling with the anxiety of a child who isn’t growing as expected. She is a momma to 3 earthside babies, expecting a second rainbow, and 4 angels she has yet to meet. After two traumatic births, miscarriages, feeding issues, a NICU stay, PPA, a VBA2C, and more, Aubrey became even more passionate about supporting mothers in their transition into motherhood. She is the owner of Matrescence Nutrition, the author of “The Big Book of Baby-Led Weaning”, and loves working with women and families as a part of their village.

Mary is excited to start a new beginning with Cleveland Chiropractic and helping patients achieve wellness! She received her medical assistant degree from the former Hammel College. She worked at several medical practices for a number of years before taking some time away to raise her three children Corey, Jack and Emily. Mary worked several part time jobs while working around her family's busy schedule, as her husband Bill is a firefighter with an ever-changing schedule. In her spare time Mary enjoys playing with her goldendoodle Sadie, gardening, going for long walks in the Cleveland Metroparks, and spending time with her family. Mary has resided in Parma Heights for the past 22 years.
