FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions
Are you accepting new patients?
At Cleveland Chiropractic and Integrative Health Center, we are accepting new patients! Give the office a call at 216-952-3830 or email info@clechiropractic.com to schedule your initial appointment.
I am a new patient, what should I expect on my first visit?
If you are a new patient, please arrive 10-15 minutes before your scheduled appointment to fill out any necessary paperwork if you did not fill it out online (through Jane App). Initial visits are approximately 1 hour and follow-up appointments vary by patient, but are typically between 15-30 minutes. During your initial appointment, the doctor will review your comprehensive medical history and preform a physical examination to get a better understanding of your health. If treatment is warranted, treatment will be provided at the initial visit. If any imaging, blood work, or additional testing is warranted prior to treatment, our doctors will refer out as appropriate.
Our providers specialize in pregnancy, postpartum, and pediatric care in Cleveland, is chiropractic safe for these populations?
Yes, chiropractic care is not only safe for these populations, but also very effective! Since trauma to the spine can occur prior to birth and during birth, our providers recommend getting your little one assessed right after birth. Home visits for this are available.
As a mama herself, Dr. Gesicki can attest to the importance of chiropractic care during pregnancy. Chiropractic care (and acupuncture) during pregnancy has been shown to decrease labor times, reduce and eliminate back pain, and create balance in the pelvis, allowing the growing baby space to achieve optimal fetal positioning.
What is Webster Technique?
Webster Technique is a specific chiropractic analysis and adjustment developed by Larry Webster, DC to balance the pelvis and reduce stress that is on a woman's uterus and ligaments during pregnancy. It has been clinically proven that establishing balance in the pelvis may allow for optimal fetal positioning. For more information and research visit International Chiropractic Pediatric Association.
What is boutique style healthcare?
Our providers offer boutique style healthcare to the Cleveland area. This concept of medical practice allows our providers to spend adequate time with patients at each visit. Our providers personally answer and return emails as well as phone calls.
Do you take my insurance?
At Cleveland Chiropractic and Integrative Health Center, we are in network with most major insurance companies, including Medical Mutual, Mutual Health Services, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, United Healthcare Community Plan, Medicare, Multiplan, and a few smaller insurance companies. We are happy to verify your in- and out-of-network benefits and have affordable payment options for those who chose to pay out of pocket.
Does insurance cover chiropractic and acupuncture services?
Most insurance plans have chiropractic benefits and more insurance plans are beginning to cover acupuncture services, but coverage varies from insurer to insurer and plan to plan. As a reminder, your insurance policy is an agreement between you and your insurer, not your insurer and this clinic. Most insurance policies require the beneficiary to pay co-insurance, co-payment, and/or deductible. Our clinic will call your insurer to verify your benefits; however, we are not responsible for your insurer’s final payment and benefit determinations.
