CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic manipulation uses a high-velocity, low-amplitude thrust over restricted joints. The adjustment stimulates the nervous system to relax the surrounding muscles, reduce pain, and restore motion. The cavitation (the “pop”) that may be heard is due to the release of gas (mostly nitrogen, oxygen, and carbon dioxide) in the joints. Synovial fluid is released and can re-lubricate the joint surfaces to restore normal range of motion. Dr. Gesicki uses Motion Palpation to evaluate the motion in joints as they are brought through movements in order to identify restriction and dysfunction. Schedule a chiropractic appointment online.
